Points Formula, Award Scale and Ranked Shooter list
The F-Class Points Series 3rd season kicks off with a new Points formula Points Award scale.
The Formula for the number of shooters who will receive points in a match is;
Total shooters in a rifle category plus the ranked shooters in that rifle category multiplied by 20% and then rounded up. (Field+Ranked)*20% rounded up. This is done for each rifle category separately.
An example is, a match has 25 FTR shooters and 8 of those are ranked shooters. The calculation is (25+8)*.2 = 6.4 rounded up = 7 FTR shooters receiving points for this match.
We then go to the Points Award Scale to determine the points for each position.
In the example 7 FTR shooters will receive points, 1st place @ 8 points, 2nd @ 6 points and so on.
When the formula generates more than 20 shooters receiving points those shooters shall receive 1 point.
An example is, a match has 136 F-Open shooters and 28 of those are ranked shooters. The calculation is (136+28)*.2 = 32.8 rounded up = 33 F-Open shooters receiving points. 1st place @ 36 points, 2nd @ 33 points and so on to 21st place through 33rd each receiving 1 point.
X’s matter and are an indicator of performance. In our case they also help to resolve ties in the season long leader board. In the previous match example let’s assume the winner had 55 X’s out of 125 record shots. The calculation is 55/125=.44, the winner of this match would receive 36.44 points and so on for each shooter that received points in a match.

2025-2026 Ranked Shooters
The Ranked Shooters list is based on a shooters points for the previous three (3) years. The Ranked shooters list will be updated annually on March 1st and remain static over the entire season. Ranked shooters retain their rank when crossing over to a different rifle category. If a ranked shooter in FTR shoots in a F-Open match they are still considered ranked for the rifle category they shot in.
